6 things tourists do when in Hanoi

Most of Hanoi people do only a few things below at least once or even never come to the place that visitors often frequented.


Here are some of the things that are often included in the planning of Hanoi tourism: 1. Visiting museums Hanoi has 16 museums scattered throughout the inner city and is mostly open hourly. In order to enter the tour, Hanoi tourists have to buy tickets according to the regulations of each museum. The visitors are mostly visitors from other countries or regions. 2. Arrive in Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam on weekdays Considered as the most diverse and richest population in Hanoi, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam is on the list of 23 special national monuments. Hanoians always take pride in Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam as a symbol of Hanoi tourism. However, they do not always visit this population. The crowds of Hanoians in Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam are usually on the first day of the year or just before the exam season. 3. Visit Hoa Lo Prison Hoa Lo prison was built in 1896 and used to house many Vietnamese political prisoners during the French colonial period. After 1954, Hoa Lo was under the control of his country and also detained paratroopers, including Senator John McCain. Today, only a small corner remains as a place for tourists to Hanoi. The remaining area is the commercial tower of Hanoi. The opening hours from 8 am to 5 pm with the price of 10,000-20,000 VND. The majority of visitors are foreigners. 4. Ticket prices in the cinema is fluctuating in the range of 60,000-100,000. 5. Pedicabs Once a popular means of transport in the last century, cyclo is just a traditional Hanoi culture and most of the tourists serve Hanoi international. In the streets of the capital, this kind of vehicles are not seen much. With modern life and hustle, Hanoians now mainly use motorbikes or cars to travel every day. 6. Buy a hat, lacquer Walking the streets of Hanoi, you can easily see the images of lacquer shops with elaborate works, unique. Buyers are mainly tourists for souvenir or gifts bearing bold Vietnamese culture. With conical hats too, most of them are now only available for international tourists to buy and use in Hanoi to explore the capital. Meanwhile, Hanoians use fashion hats and most of them still wear helmets.
